Advancing technology and the increasing availability of data are helping to create new ways to work. As a result, a workplace designed on today’s needs and assumptions could be redundant in little more than a decade.

As real estate evolves, businesses must evaluate more than size and scale to ensure their success. The most prosperous companies will be those who align their real estate strategy with their business strategy, using technology to transform the products and services provided and their structure of operations.

How do you do this? Here are five steps to take today to better position your company for tomorrow.

However, it’s also important to develop robust data policies—and change management processes will need to be put in place to ensure employees understand what data is captured and how it is used.

The employees of today don’t want to work in dark offices with bad air circulation, nor is it good for them. Better design, combined with rise of smart buildings, can help to improve indoor air quality and make the most of natural light. Creating active workplaces can have a big impact on productivity, sustainability, and wellbeing, which is good for both companies and employees.
