With cultural arts contributing well over $400 Million to the Phoenix economy, live entertainment is a flourishing business all throughout metropolitan Phoenix and well beyond. Vibrant Downtown Phoenix is a thriving entertainment district composed of a variety of centrally located bars, clubs, venues, and more, all catered to the local nightlife thrill seeker of all backgrounds and interests.

From the famous art district of Roosevelt Row, and the always busy warehouse district of Jackson to Grant Street, to the home of the valley’s most excellent bars and concert venues, there never seems to be a dull moment in Downtown Phoenix. The good times seem to keep rolling for downtown dwellers without any sign of letting up as a long awaited new concert venue, The Van Buren, has already been making quite a bit of noise in a seemingly already buzzing side of town.

The Van Buren is a one thousand seat music venue and event space located on Fourth Avenue and Van Buren Street at the old Phoenix Motor Co. building. Owner of Stateside Presents, Crescent Ballroom, and Valley Bar, Charlie Levy, acquired the real estate last year along with an announcement on plans to renovate and repurpose the building. Levy’s new venue received its name in part because of its excellent location, but also holds a much more profound meaning: “There’s a lot of history in that place, which was one of the reasons why we chose it.” says Levy. “I just think that it’s just this historic street that’s been a big part of our cultural past; it cuts right through the heart of Phoenix, and in the past, it was the main street in Phoenix in its glory days of motels and highways.” Charlie Levy’s deep-rooted relationship with Phoenix culture and entertainment has led the hot new venue to become a prime downtown destination for locals and out of towners alike.

Now open for just over two months, The Van Buren is already breaking significant ground all throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area with upcoming events consisting of big names like Marilyn Manson, The Used with Glassjaw, Franz Ferdinand, Ministry, and much more! The valley of the sun just cannot wait to support this venue in all its endeavors as they continue to further attract more excellent live music and entertainment to the great city of Phoenix, Arizona.
